Founders Story

When I started my business, I didn’t expect the loneliness that came with it.

Most days, you’re working quietly behind a laptop, at a kitchen table, or in a small home office, building something you truly believe in. There’s excitement, passion, and purpose… but not always people around who understand the journey.

That changed the day I met other home-based business owners and realized we were all feeling the same way.

Talented, driven, passionate people — building incredible businesses… but often without the visibility, support, or community they deserved.

And yet, so many successful businesses begin exactly this way — from home, with nothing but an idea and the courage to start.

That’s why the Home-Based Business Hub was created.

A space where entrepreneurs can be seen, supported, and connected — through our community, events, and the YEG Home-Based Business Expo.

Because no one building something meaningful should feel like they’re doing it alone.
